Giants vs. Brewers lineups: Mike Yastrzemski starts after first Oracle homer

Share

Hit a home run off the bench, get a start the next day. It should be a golden rule in baseball, and Giants manager Bruce Bochy is abiding by it Saturday.

Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-run pinch-hit homer in the seventh inning of the Giants' 5-3 win over the Brewers on Friday night. The long ball was the rookie's first at Oracle Park

The next day, Bochy is rewarding Yastrzemski with a start in left field. Yastrzemski, 28, is batting .228 with two home runs in 17 games for the Giants this season.

On the hill, the Giants are sending out their ace. Madison Bumgarner is looking for his first win in nearly a month as he faces the Brewers for the first time this season. The left-hander is 3-6 with a 3.83 ERA this season.
