Wondolowski to join U.S. Men's National Team's January camp

San Jose forward Chris Wondolowski will be joining the U.S. Men's National Team for their winter training session, having received the call from head coach Jurgen Klinsmann for the second consecutive year.

Wondolowski will join the national team after leading the MLS in goals scored the past two seasons. In addition to leading the league in goals, the Danville native picked up some impressive post-season awards, earning a spot on the MLS Best XI, and the inaugural Castrol Index Player of the Year award.

This is a great opportunity for Chris and Im happy to see his hard work and success on the field rewarded. Its an honor any time you get to represent your country, said Earthquakes General Manager John Doyle.

Wondolowski secured a spot on the national squad last year after participating in January's training camp, and suited up for his first stint with the team against Chile on January 22, 2010. The men's team begins camp on January 3rd before taking the pitch against Venezuela (Jan. 21) and Panama (Jan. 25).
