A pair of record signings had vastly different first halves in Sheffield United's win over Arsenal on Monday night at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United forward Lys Mousset, signed from Bournemouth for a club-record fee in July, scored a goal in the 30th minute of his first Premier League start to give the Blades a 1-0 win over the reigning Europa League finalists. Mousset tapped in a header from teammate Jack O'Connell in the six-yard box, scoring his second goal for the club.

Nicolas Pépé was Arsenal's record signing this summer, and the French forward had the chance to put the Gunners on top minutes prior to Mousset's goal. Pépé, who has only scored once for Arsenal in all competitions this season, whiffed on a left-footed volley in the six-yard box.
Sheffield United and Arsenal had not met in the Premier League since 2006 prior to Monday, and the Blades had not lost in any of the previous four top-flight matches between the clubs at Bramall Lane. Thanks in part to the contrasting performances of the pair's record signings, Sheffield United kept that streak alive.
