Watch Megan Rapinoe, Rose Lavelle score to give USWNT lead in World Cup final

Megan Rapinoe has done it again.

With the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup final between the United States Women's National Team and the Netherlands still scoreless in the 58th minute, the U.S. went on the attack and Alex Morgan drew a foul on Stefanie van der Gragt in the box. While it wasn't initially ruled a foul, the referee went to VAR and awarded a penalty kick to the United States.

Rapinoe did the rest, duping Sari van Veenendaal for her sixth goal of the World Cup and 50th career goal for the USWNT in the 61st minute.

Useful.

With the Netherlands reeling, Rose Lavelle stuck them with the pointy end in the 69th minute, giving the US a 2-0 lead with a crisp left-footed boot.

The U.S. held on to win 2-0, securing back-to-back World Cup titles for the first time in their history and becoming only the second team ever to do so.
