The Earthquakes' second-to-last MLS Cup playoffs tune-up against LAFC won't take place and might not be rescheduled.
The Quakes (7-8-6; 27 points) announced that Sunday's scheduled game at Earthquakes Stadium in San Jose has been postponed after three LAFC players tested positive for the coronavirus this week.
"While the remaining players and staff have continued to test negative, including yesterday, out of an abundance of caution, the match has been postponed to allow for additional testing and evaluation," The Earthquakes said in a statement.

With the 2020 MLS regular season set to conclude Sunday, Nov. 8, dubbed Decision Day, there might not be sufficient time for the Quakes and LAFC to make up the match.
If the Quakes and LAFC are unable to play their match at later this week, San Jose's final game of the season would come on the road against Seattle Sounders FC next Sunday.
At the moment, the Quakes are the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference and would qualify for the MLS Cup playoffs.
The Quakes are coming off an impressive 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake on Wednesday in which Chris Wondolowski scored both goals, bringing his all-time MLS goals record to 165. For that performance, he was voted MLS Player of the Week.
