Liverpool (27-1-1; 82 points) can move one step closer to clinching their first-ever Premier League title with a win over their biggest rivals Sunday.
The second-to-last match of the first full match window during the restarted season arguably is the most enticing, with Liverpool facing cross-town rivals Everton (10-7-12; 37 points) and the Reds' "magic number" to clinch their first top-flight title in 30 years down to six points.
Everton haven't beat Liverpool in nearly 10 years, but Sunday's Merseyside Derby will be Carlo Ancelotti's first in charge of the Toffees. Liverpool's title is fait accompli, and delaying the inevitable even one week would still make the Italian manager a legend in the blue part of the city. An upset is unlikely, but not unthinkable. Since Ancelotti's first match on Dec. 21, Everton are seventh in the table.
