Watch Sharks' Tomas Hertl tie game vs. Rangers with two seconds left

The Sharks looked dead in the (frozen) water.

With his team down 3-2 to the New York Rangers, coach Peter DeBoer pulled Martin Jones with about two minutes left in regulation. It looked like San Jose would end the night without a point, but Tomas Hertl had other ideas.

The Sharks winger grabbed a puck in front of the net, and rifled a shot over Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist's left shoulder, tying the game with just two seconds left, according to the scoresheet.

Hertl has now scored six goals in 11 career games against the Blueshirts, four of which came in his rookie year five years ago. On that night, Hertl took the NHL by storm with a between-the-legs finish that spawned hundreds of takes about Respecting The Game.

His latest probably want cause nearly as much debate, but it was a more important one for the Sharks. San Jose wouldn't have earned a point in the standings without it.
