San Jose (12-8-4) and the Buffalo Sabres (16-6-2) face off for the second and final time this season, after the Sharks dispatched Buffalo 5-1 in their only prior encounter. The Sabres enter the contest as the hottest team in the NHL, riding a nine-game winning streak.
The Sharks have been on a streak of their own, but not the winning kind. They've alternated wins and losses over their last six games and are coming off a 6-0 defeat at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights.
