Sharks vs. Golden Knights watch guide: Projected lines and defensive pairs

It’s the rematch of last season’s Stanley Cup Playoffs second round series as the San Jose Sharks travel to Sin City to face the Vegas Golden Knights for the first time this season.

The Sharks are coming off a dominant Friday night win over the Vancouver Canucks, in which San Jose scored three power-play goals and goaltender Aaron Dell posted a shutout as the home team registered a 4-0 victory. The Sharks ended their six-game homestand with a 4-1-1 record.

Vegas, who is also playing the second night of a back-to-back, is trying to turn their season around. After a injury-laden start, last year’s Western Conference champion has gone 5-5-0 in their last 10 contests, but is coming off two-straight victories. This is the first of four meetings between the Sharks and Golden Knights, after San Jose went 1-2-1 against Vegas in regular season play last year.
