SAN JOSE -- After a rough-and-tumble victory in Game 1, the San Jose Sharks are ready to up their game as they match back up with the Vegas Golden Knights for Game 2 of the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
“That’s a good team over there, we respect them,” captain Joe Pavelski said. “We understand they’re going to come out a lot harder and a lot better and give us a pretty good game tonight.”
Pavelski is good to play Friday night after scoring a goal off of his mouth in Game 1. No. 8 missed practice the following day to have dental work done and told the media he’ll likely have to wear a protective visor for a couple of games. However, the captain doesn’t anticipate it will keep him from playing.
