SAN JOSE – The Sharks will try to put a pointless road trip as far in the rearview mirror as possible as they kick off a six-game homestand on Sunday against the Calgary Flames.

San Jose dropped back-to-back decisions against the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues this past week, being shut out 4-0 in the latter contest. The winless roadie puts them in third place in the Pacific Division, right behind the visiting Flames.

SIGN UP HERE Team Teal is hopeful they will have Tomas Hertl back in the lineup on Sunday to add a little fire power to their offense, and that Evander Kane will continue his dominance over this division rival. Kane tallied six goals in two games for the Sharks last season against Calgary, in addition to dropping the gloves to duke it out with Travis Hamonic on March 24.
Calgary is on the final leg of their swing through California, losing to the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 on Wednesday and defeating the LA Kings 1-0 on Saturday when netminder David Rittich posted his first career shutout.
This is the first of a four-game series between the Flames and Sharks this season. San Jose is 52-54-8-7 overall in 121 franchise games against Calgary.
