The Sharks will get a big boost when captain Joe Pavelski returns to their lineup Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
Pavelski, the team's leading goal-scorer, has not played since March 16. In his absence, the Sharks went 1-5-1 and scored 3.14 goals per game during that span. That was down from the 3.58 per game San Jose scored in 72 contests with Pavelski in the lineup.

The Canucks are set to miss the postseason for the fourth consecutive year, but have each of their last two games since defenseman Quinn Hughes' NHL debut. The 19-year-old has had a big impact on the Canucks' play, posting a 54.84 percent 5-on-5 corsi-for percentage and 62.5 percent high-danger-chance percentage at full strength.
