Sharks vs. Blues watch guide: Projected lines and defensive pairs

The San Jose Sharks will try to rebound from a frustrating loss to the Dallas Stars as they end their back-to-back on the road Friday night against the St. Louis Blues.

Despite outshooting the opposition 36-22 including an 11-5 effort in the third frame, the Sharks were unable to stop the Stars from notching two quick goals in the second period to put them in a 3-1 hole. Goals from Joe Pavelski and Evander Kane helped tie the game back up, but Dallas forward Devin Shore deposited his second goal on the evening half way through the third frame to give the Stars the 4-3 victory last night.

The Blues, on the other hand, have been idle since hosting the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. Though St. Louis won that contest 4-1, their overall play on the season has been inconsistent. They’re currently sitting at the bottom of the Central Division with a 5-5-3 line on the season, going 4-4-1 on home ice so far.
