The San Jose Sharks lineup got a last-minute shakeup on Saturday just before puck drop against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Two-time Norris Trophy-winning defenseman Erik Karlsson was a late scratch ahead of the Sharks' second matchup of the season with the Bolts. The scratch was reported by Sharks play-by-play announcer Dan Rusanowsky.
Karlsson participated in the first few minutes of warmups ahead of puck drop before heading to the dressing room. The defenseman sat out the last couple of minutes of Tuesday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and missed the ensuing morning practice. He was spotted walking with a limp after Wednesday’s loss to the Coyotes.
