The Sharks winger revealed in a social media post that he and his wife lost their daughter during pregnancy.

Kane has been out of the lineup since Feb. 26 when the Sharks played the Boston Bruins. He participated in practice Thursday ahead of San Jose's game against the Florida Panthers but isn't expected to be in the lineup.
Sharks coach Peter DeBoer told the media Kane could return to the lineup Saturday when the Sharks host the Nashville Predators.
