Logan Couture has been selected as San Jose's lone representative at the NHL All-Star game. He leads the team with 17 goals and is tied for third with 30 points.

"Hes very dynamic, and plays in all situations, and is very responsible. I still find it hard to believe that hes as young as he is. He fits in with our star players, our Thonrtons and Marleaus, and they are basically a decade ahead of him as far as age goes.

"Give him credit for establishing himself in the National Hockey League and maintaining throughout his career so far.

Couture finished runner-up to Carolina Hurricanes forward Jeff Skinner in the Calder Trophy voting last season, awarded to the league's most outstanding rookie.

This season, Skinner has 12 goals, 24 points, and is not an All-Star.
