
SAN JOSE -- EA Sports announced earlier this week that San Jose Sharks captain Joe Pavelski has been named a finalist in the EA Sports NHL 17 Cover Vote.
Pavelski, the lone U.S. born player in the vote, led the Sharks with five goals in their first-round series win over the Los Angeles Kings. In the 2015-16 season, Pavelski posted 78 points (38 goals, 40 assists), 28 power-play points and a +25 plus/minus rating. He ranked 1st on the Sharks in goals, game-winning goals (11) and power-play goals (12), T-1st in plus/minus (+25), 2nd in points, and 3rd in assists and power-play points (28).

"Pavs" also finished amongst the league-leaders in various categories including 1st overall in game-winning goals, 5th in goals, 6th in power-play points and T-6th in points.
