The Sharks vs. Vancouver Canucks game on Jan. 2 will serve as the first NHL broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
On Jan. 2, following the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on NBC featuring the New York Rangers at the Philadelphia Flyers, VERSUS will morph into the NBC Sports Network, a 247 cable sports network.
Over 75 million homes will have access to the network, which will air NHL, Major League Soccer, IZOD IndyCar Series, college football and basketball, the Tour de France, horse racing, and original programming.
