The Sharks are staying busy at the 2021 NHL trade deadline. Ahead of Monday's Noon PT deadline, general manager Doug Wilson made another move to strengthen the future.

The Sharks traded defenseman Fredrik Claesson to the Tampa Bay Lightning for goalie prospect Magnus Chrona, the team announced.

The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun was the first to report the news.

Chrona, 20, is yet to play a game in the NHL. The Lightning picked him out of the University of Denver in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
