NHL All-Star voting officially opened at 9 a.m. Saturday, and with San Jose hosting the big event this season, there’s no doubt that Sharks faithful will be filling their ballots with their favorite teal-clad players.
If you aren’t sure which Sharks to put your vote toward yet, here are some of the most deserving.
Joe Pavelski

The captain has been absolutely clutch recently, just in time for fans to put him on their All-Star ballots. Even through the Sharks’ woes with losing on the road, Pavelski has given the team opportunities to win, scoring four goals in his last five games.
And if you’re going to vote for this goal-scorer, you might as well cast a vote for his go-to set-up guy …
Brent Burns
The All-Star Game is meant for a high level of entertainment, and nobody brings the spectacle quite like Burns does. He’s also leading the Sharks with 23 assists, many of them tallied after he makes a sweet dish to set up a Pavelski goal.

Timo Meier
The Swiss forward has really come into his own this season, even leading the league in goals at one point. With other fanbases becoming more and more curious about him, why not let Meier shine in the mid-season festivities?
Marcus Sorensen
A dark horse of your All-Star voting ballot.
The Swedish forward began to impress even before he was placed on Joe Thornton’s wing and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. With his speed and strength on the forward attack, Sorensen can really shine in the ASG format.
Since we mentioned his linemate …
Joe Thornton
The future Hall of Famer has been on an absolute tear since battling back from knee injuries. Surely Sharks fans want to see him in the ASG – who knows how many other opportunities they’re going to get to see him playing at this level.
Last but not least …
Logan Couture
Couture continues to be one of Team Teal’s best players. With 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) on the season -- just one point behind Burns -- Couture is without a doubt worthy of everyone’s All-Star votes.
The Sharks and the city of San Jose will host the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star weekend, from Jan. 25-26. You can vote for your favorite players here.
