UPDATE (2:30 p.m.) -- The Sharks will be without defenseman Douglas Murray tonight, after he took a puck to the throat in Thursdays game in Tampa.
Murray, who was spotted at the Tampa airport on Friday morning after spending a night in the hospital for observation, flew to Detroit where the Sharks go immediately following Fridays game in Raleigh. The Sharks visit the Red Wings on Sunday afternoon.
He needed more tests. I havent gotten the results of those tests back yet, but from what I understand heading into those tests that everything looked pretty good," McLellan said.

Murray is hopeful to play against the Red Wings.
(8:36 a.m.) -- First, the good news. Sharks defenseman Douglas Murray, hit in the throat by a puck early in Thursday's 6-5 loss to Tampa Bay, is out of the hospital.
It is unclear whether Murray will be available tonight against the Hurricanes, but it doesn't seem likely as he told me this morning at the Tampa Bay airport that he'll "hopefully" be able to play against the Red Wings on Sunday in Detroit.
Murray gave the impression he was awaiting medical results to come back on his injured throat, though, which he said may be a fractured adam's apple.
