Sharks: The Sharks erased a 4-1 first period deficit, but dropped a 6-5 shootout decision to the Flames at home on Thursday. Logan Couture paced the offense with one goal and three assists, while backup Alex Stalock struggled in net with 17 saves on 22 shots. After tonight, the Sharks open up a five-game road trip on Tuesday in Tampa Bay.

Coyotes: Arizona will be playing the second of a back-to-back tonight after they skated past Calgary at home on Friday, 4-1. That snapped a five-game losing streak for the Coyotes (0-4-1), who are just 3-7-2 in their last 12.

Keep an eye on…

Sharks: Tommy Wingels. Wingels has three goals in his last nine games, doubling his output from his first 44. His line, along with Logan Couture and Joonas Donskoi, contributed both of the Sharks’ even-strength goals on Thursday night against Calgary. Wingels continues to lead the Sharks with 2.0 penalties drawn per 60 minutes.

Coyotes: Shane Doan. The Coyotes captain had two goals on Friday night, setting a new franchise record in points (931) and power play goals (123) in the process. He has a team-leading 21 goals, his 13th season of scoring 20 or more, tied for fourth-most among active skaters.
