After the win, some of the Sharks got a message from their captain back in San Jose.
Head coach Peter DeBoer told the media Wednesday that Joe Pavelski FaceTimed with some members of the team to congratulate them on the critical victory.
Pavelski has not played since he left Game 7 of the Sharks' first-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights after hitting the back of his head on the ice following a cross-check from Vegas center Cody Eakin.
DeBoer also told the media that the captain is scheduled to skate for the first time in San Jose on Wednesday.
