Avalanche's tying goal overturned; Sharks score minutes later in Game 7

The Avalanche thought they had tied Game 7.

No cigar.

Less than eight minutes into the second period Wednesday night at SAP Center, Colorado forward Colin Wilson appeared to even the contest at 2 after converting on an odd-man rush. But the Sharks challenged the play for offside and, upon further review, the goal was disallowed.

Several minutes later, things got worse for the Avalanche, as Joonas Donskoi ended a 39-game goal-less drought when he went top shelf following a wrap-around attempt.

Shortly after, Colorado coach Jared Bednar was asked for his thoughts on the disallowed goal, and safe to say he didn't agree with the ruling.

The two-goal swing could prove pivotal in a do-or-die game, and we await official explanation from the NHL.
