Will Janikowski receive Pro Bowl call on Tuesday?

ALAMEDA -- Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on Tuesday. And while Sebastian Janikowski won the fan vote at placekicker, that accounts for only one-third of the selection process. He is expected to be named to his first Pro Bowl, but what if he isn't?"I'd be very disappointed," said Raiders coach Hue Jackson. "The guy is the best kicker in football, are you kidding me? In my opinion, hands down."If he doesnt make the Pro Bowl this year then, in my opinion, something is wrong. To me, he should already have stock over there in the Pro Bowl and he doesn't. He should. I'd be very disappointed if his name doesn't show up. He's as good as there is in football. Period."

Janikowski has converted 27 of his 31 field-goal attempts this season with two misses coming from 56 and 59 yards and having two others blocked, a 49- and a 65-yard attempt. He tied the NFL record for longest field goal with his 63-yarder in the Monday night opener at Denver."It's unbelievable," said Raiders long snapper Jon Condo, himself a former Pro Bowler. "What, this is his 12th year in the league, and he has yet to make it to Hawaii? It's just crazy because every year I've been here, he's the only kicker who can consistently kick from 50, 60 yards. Whenever we get across the 40-yard line, that's when we're in field-goal range."I'm praying for him. He deserves it. He works hard kicking the ballhe definitely deserves it."
