Solomon Thomas is all about family.
The 49ers defensive end has had some ups and downs on the field, but one recent “up” off the field will bring a huge smile to your face -- just as he did to his dad, Chris.
For Father’s Day, Thomas surprised his father with a Tesla. He posted the video on social media with the entire breakdown from purchasing the car, driving it to his dad’s house and the reaction on his face:

Thomas just casually walked up to his dad, handed him the keys after wishing him a Happy Father’s Day, and gave him a big hug.
Chris was sporting a 49ers polo and said “You’ve gotta be kidding me,” with a big smile on his face.

The Thomas’ are a tight-knit group and always has been. Solomon has leaned on his family and friends following the tragic death of his sister, and best friend, Ella, who took her own life on Jan. 23, 2018.
He had battled depression throughout the summer following her death, but the help of those closest to him, some counseling, and therapy from an adorable French bulldog named Zoe have helped him through the tough time.
