UCLA LB Jack: Knee ‘absolutely fine, I have no issues with it'

While Myles Jack was long considered a top-5 to 10 prospect in the 2016 NFL Draft, his medical throws a wrench into teams' potential draft plans.

The All-Pac 12 defender tore his right meniscus in September 2015, which required surgery. And there are mixed opinions on Jack's rehab and recovery from the injury, the NFL Network reported last week.

But Jack insists he is healthy and ready to go.

"As far as my knee goes, it's absolutely fine. I've been working out for teams," Jack said Thursday on the Dan Patrick Show. "The knee is fine. I have no issues with it.

"I think you guys have seen the videos and stuff, so on my end everything's fine," he added. "I don't know if this is a smokescreen or whatever it is, but at the end of the day, whoever wants to take me will take me. I'm not worried about it."

Jack played three seasons at UCLA, finishing with 178 total tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss, one sack, four interceptions, 19 pass deflections, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.

He also lined up at tailback, averaging 5.7 yards per carry on 68 touches, while scoring 11 touchdowns.

The 49ers hosted Jack for a pre-draft visit in Santa Clara and are believed to have interest in the top-rated linebacker

If the 49ers’ medical staff is comfortable with his physical condition, then San Francisco may have its man. If teams around the league share a pessimistic view of his knee, he is likely to tumble out of the top-10.
