NFL Network continued to unveil the NFL Top 100 on Tuesday, revealing which players were ranked No. 40 through No. 11 overall by their fellow peers.
Brady came in at No. 14.

Look, I get it. After six Super Bowl victories and a Hall-of-Fame career that isn't over yet, it's understandable why Brady would continue to be held in the highest esteem by other players in the league. However, the Top 100 is supposed to be based on last season's play, and Brady's performance didn't come anywhere near deserving of that ranking.
He posted his worst completion percentage (60.8 percent) and quarterback rating since 2013, and he averaged his fewest yards per attempt (6.6) since 2002. Only Drew Brees and still-to-be unveiled Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes were ranked higher among QBs.
49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was superior to Brady in nearly every single relevant statistical category last season, and he was ranked No. 43. That seemed about right given Jimmy G's performance last season, while Brady's ranking can only be viewed as a lifetime achievement award.

San Francisco looked into signing Brady this offseason, but similarly, that was as much if not more about Brady's prior achievements than his recent level of play.
The 49ers and coach Kyle Shanahan are quite happy with Garoppolo, and the Top 100 rankings don't change that one bit.
