The top candidates appear to be ex-Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly, Coughlin, Cincinnati offensive coordinator Hue Jackson and Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. The 49ers also interviewed Buffalo assistant head coach Anthony Lynn and Cleveland offensive coordinator John DeFilippo.
Jackson appears to be drawing the most outside interest among those candidates. The Cleveland Browns held a second interview with Jackson on Tuesday, the club confirmed. He is reportedly scheduled to meet with the Giants.
