Sin City is adding a Prince.

The Las Vegas Raiders and free-agent cornerback Prince Amukamara have agreed on terms a contract, a source confirmed to NBC Sports California's Scott Bair on Tuesday, but the deal is not officially done.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport first reported the agreement.

Amukamara, a former first-round draft pick of the New York Giants in 2011, spent the last three seasons with the Chicago Bears.

The addition of Amukamara continues the Raiders' offseason overhaul of their defensive backfield. The 30-year-old joins Damarious Randall and Jeff Heath as free-agent acquisitions. Las Vegas also drafted cornerback Damon Arnette in the first round and safety Tanner Muse in the third round.

Last season with the Bears, Amukamara played on 83 percent of the defensive snaps, and recorded 53 total tackles. He didn't intercept a pass, but he had 10 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

In nine seasons with the Giants, Jaguars and Bears, Amukamara has 10 career interceptions.

It remains to be seen what Amukamara can provide the Raiders on the field, but he's a reliable veteran who has played in 30 of a possible 32 regular-season games over the last two years.
