
The 49ers have shipped out one of their young cornerbacks.
Rashard Robinson has been traded to the New York Jets, the team announced.
The 49ers will receive a 2018 fifth-round pick, a source told NBCSportsBayArea.com's Matt Maiocco.

Robinson was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft and appeared in 14 games as a rookie last season.
The 22-year-old from LSU started the first seven games of the season before being replaced by rookie Ahkello Witherspoon this past weekend. Robinson intercepted one pass, forced one fumble and recorded 27 tackles.
Additionally, the 49ers released QB Brian Hoyer and CB Will Redmond. The team officially acquired quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo from the Patriots on Tuesday morning.
