Believe it or not, the 49ers -- not Stan Kroenke -- actually own the Los Angeles Rams.
As San Francisco prepares for an epic Week 18 clash with their Southern California division rival, the 49ers will enter Sunday's contest having won the last five meetings between the two teams and six of the nine total matchups in the Kyle Shanahan-Sean McVay era. Ownage is ownage.
49ers left guard Laken Tomlinson joined 95.7 The Game's Damon & Ratto Tuesday afternoon and explained why San Francisco has been able to have so much success against the Rams.

SIGN UP HERE "You can thank Kyle Shanahan for that and the scheme he draws up against those guys," Tomlinson said. "It's been great and going out there every time we play against them, just being able to make plays. Over the years it's been working really well and we look to continue that this weekend."
The most important factor when it comes to facing off against the Rams is to neutralize superstar pass rusher Aaron Donald, which the 49ers' offensive line has done a fantastic job of as of late, which Tomlinson attributes to an all-around team effort.
"It's a team effort with the coaching to the scheme we develop that week to the players, all five of us out there working together," Tomlinson added. "Having all that come together creates a fantastic game plan against them. It's been working well for us over the years. That's just something that we're really focused on, especially on the offensive line. Just take care of the game-wreckers and do our best job to keep our quarterback up."
Both Tomlinson and Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford were teammates together on the Detroit Lions in 2015 and 2016. Despite being division rivals now, the 29-year-old guard has a lot of respect for his former QB.

"I'm proud of Matt [Stafford] and the choices he made for his career and making that trade over there from the Lions to the Rams," Tomlinson said. "That's something he probably wanted to do for a while. I don't know, I haven't spoken to him about it, but for a player to give so much to the game, you kind of expect that he would get a chance to do something special and I think he's taken that risk. A ton of respect for Matt Stafford, I always respected him when I played with him back in Detroit and he's a hell of a guy."

Even with the recent success against the Rams, the 49ers will enter Sunday's game as the underdog against one of the best teams in the league.
San Francisco is currently the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoff race and can punch their ticket to the playoffs with a win over the Rams or a loss from the New Orleans Saints against the Atlanta Falcons.
