The day has finally arrived.
Football fans around the world now know their favorite team’s schedule for the 2022 NFL season.
The 49ers open the regular season in Chicago to take on the Bears on Sunday, Sept. 11. Their home opener will be during Week 2 when they host their division rivals and a Rusell Wilson-less Seattle Seahawks squad at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 18.

San Francisco will have five primetime games this season, the maximum allowed.
Here’s a full breakdown of the 49ers’ primetime showdowns:
- Week 3 at Denver Broncos: Sunday Night Football, Sept. 25, 5:20 p.m.
- Week 4 vs. Los Angeles Rams: Monday Night Football, Oct. 3, 5:15 p.m.
- Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Chargers: Sunday Night Football, Nov. 13, 5:20 p.m.
- Week 11 at Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City: Monday Night Football, Nov. 21, 5:15 p.m.
- Week 15 at Seattle Seahawks: Thursday Night Football, Dec. 15, 5:15 p.m.
The 49ers will play in nine home games in Santa Clara and seven true road games.

The Red and Gold will head to Estadio Azteca in Mexico City in the fall to face the Arizona Cardinals for the first time since playing the NFL’s first regular-season international game in 2005.
The Cardinals are the designated home team for that NFC West matchup on Nov. 21.
