Just minutes after the 49ers closed out a 27-7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium, San Francisco's front office went to work.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported, citing sources, that San Francisco agreed to sign linebacker Dre Greenlaw to a two-year contract extension.

"Just to not worry about anything financial, just to be able to lock in and focus on playing," Greenlaw said Sunday when asked what the contract extension means to him. "Now I can just play ball, don’t have to worry about getting injured. Whatever I do, I just go and do it hard."
Greenlaw was on the final year of a four-year rookie contract he signed after the 49ers selected him in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
The 25-year-old entered Sunday's contest with 204 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and two sacks in 33 career games. Greenlaw tallied a team-high eight tackles (one tackle for loss) in the 49ers' win over the Seahawks.
He will begin preparing for the 49ers' Week 3 matchup against the Denver Broncos under the comfort of a new deal.

"I'm happy to be a part of this organization for two more years," Greenlaw said. "We’ve got a great group of people. I’m excited to see how far we can get, try to get a couple championships in these two years, too."
