Lynch confirms 49ers did trade due diligence on Colts RB Mack

Potential trade candidate Marlon Mack will be suiting up for the Indianapolis Colts when they take on the 49ers this Sunday night at Levi's Stadium.

While speaking to KNBR on Friday morning, 49ers general manager John Lynch confirmed a report that the 49ers spoke to Indianapolis about Mack's availability among other players as the Nov. 2 NFL trade deadline approaches.

"You do your due diligence, and (Colts general manager) Chris Ballard and I are very good friends, we talk about a lot of things around trade deadline which is after Chicago," Lynch said on "Murph and Mac." "That Tuesday so after next week's game, that Tuesday, as that gets close, you call around the league, the league calls you and say hey, we've got this guy would you have any interest? Let us talk about it and so I think a lot of the reports are born out of that."
