Kittle has hilarious response to Jimmy G's big running game

The 49ers have a mobile quarterback, and his name is Trey ... Jimmy Garoppolo.

Surprisingly, Garoppolo had the second-most rushing attempts Sunday by a 49er in their 17-11 Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Garoppolo was forced to extend plays with his legs as the 49ers' rushing attack was snuffed out from the beginning. The QB finished with 20 rushing yards and one touchdown on 11 carries.

Tight end George Kittle was a fan of Garoppolo's work on the ground.

"I also like it too, because he gets sore after the game, so he knows what it's like to be sore," Kittle told reporters after the game. "He's like 'My shoulder's sore because I threw the ball,' but now he got hit and tackled so I'm glad he's a little sore this week.

"He gets to feel what it feels like to be an actual football player."

When asked about Garoppolo's performance on the ground, Kittle was fired up over his quarterback's running ability on Sunday.

"I love that! We have a running quarterback -- Jimmy G," Kittle said.

Sunday's game was more of an anomaly. Without much of a rushing attack, Garoppolo took matters into his own hands. The 49ers will leave the mobile quarterback duties to rookie Trey Lance.
