Deebo Samuel is defending his fashion choices after recently receiving backlash for what he wore to the Golden State Warriors game on Sunday.
Sitting courtside alongside 49ers quarterback sensation Brock Purdy for the Warriors’ Christmas Day clash against the Memphis Grizzlies, Samuel accessorized his fit with a blinged-out chain, some shades and a hat. But not just any hat.
The cap had the New York Yankees and New York Mets logos on it.

On Tuesday, Samuel took to social media to respond to the criticism.
Perhaps it was the timing of it all, really.

The Judge news was a heartbreaker because Giants fans really hoped and believed the American League home run king would come back home and play for his childhood team. The Correa madness, which reportedly hasn’t come to an end, still is a sore subject for Giants fans.
It's hard to blame Bay Area sports fans who understandably are very passionate about their teams, but to Samuel, it simply was just fashion.
