49ers injury report: George Kittle will not return to face Cowboys

Tight end George Kittle, who returned to practice this week, will remain on the 49ers' injured reserve list for at least another week.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Kittle will not be activated for the 49ers' Week 15 game Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Kittle has been out since Nov. 1 due to a fractured cuboid bone in his foot.

Linebacker Fred Warner, who sustained a shoulder stinger in the 49ers' game last week against Washington, is listed as questionable, along with nickel back K'Waun Williams (ankle) and cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (hamstring). Williams has not played since Nov. 5 against Green Bay.

Running back Raheem Mostert (ankle), nose tackle D.J. Jones (ankle) and center Daniel Brunskill (shoulder) were not listed on the injury report and have been cleared to play this weekend. Each saw limited practice time during the week.

The 49ers plan to start backup offensive tackle Justin Skule at right guard, as the team will not have Tom Compton or Colton McKivitz available. Compton was placed on injured reserve after sustaining two concussions in three weeks, and McKivitz is on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Backup center Hroniss Grasu was ruled out due to a knee injury.

The 49ers will suit up three backup offensive linemen: Tony Bergstrom, Dakoda Shepley and either Aaron Neary or Isaiah Williams, whomever knows more of the playbook after signing with the club this week.
