49ers inactives: Defense won't be at full strength vs. Wash

Dontae Johnson figures to be back as the 49ers' top 49ers' nickel back on Sunday against Alex Smith and Washington.

The 49ers' list of inactive players, announced 90 minutes before kickoff, includes K'Waun Williams and Emmanuel Moseley. Williams is the 49ers' top nickel back. He has not played since sustaining a high ankle sprain on Nov. 5 against the Green Bay Packers.

Moseley, who would have taken over at nickel back after Jamar Taylor sustained a season-ending torn ACL, will miss his second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury.

The 49ers will be down two significant defensive linemen. Starting nose tackle D.J. Jones will not play due to an ankle sprain. Also, backup defensive tackle Kevin Givens is unavailable after leaving the team last week to be there for the birth of his daughter.

The 49ers brought up defensive linemen Alex Barrett and Darrion Daniels from the practice squad to take roles in the team's rotation against Washington.
