49ers have fifth-best odds to land Seahawks' Wilson if traded

OK, 49ers fans. Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Now, imagine Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson … in a 49ers uniform.

Weird, right?

According to odds provided by our partner PointsBet, San Francisco currently has the fifth-best chance to land Wilson if he moves to another team.

PointsBet pegs the 49ers to have +900 odds as Wilson’s next team, should he leave the Seahawks, meaning a $100 bet would win $900. San Francisco sits behind the Las Vegas Raiders (+450), Dallas Cowboys (+650), Jacksonville Jaguars (+750) and Washington Football Team (+800).

It seems virtually every starting quarterback not named Tom Brady has been mentioned in the NFL trade rumor mill. Teams have reportedly reached out to the Seahawks about Wilson’s availability after the quarterback’s camp recently voiced displeasure about the team’s pass protection.

Kyle Shanahan probably wouldn’t mind having a quarterback of Wilson’s caliber running his offense. But as NBC Sports Bay Area’s Josh Schrock noted, a Wilson-Seahawks divorce is unlikely this season.

Wilson has been a staple in Seattle since 2012. Seeing him in anything but a Seahawks uniform would be odd, let alone the red and gold threads of the 49ers.
