While much has been written about what could be a historic run at quarterback with the first five picks in the 2021 NFL Draft order, there remains plenty of uncertainty surrounding the fates of Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, Trey Lance and Mac Jones.

Will Lawrence (Jags) and Wilson (Jets) turn around their respective franchises? Will Jones or Lance be paired with Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco?

Of course, it’s not all about signal callers. Each team enters NFL Draft week with its own set of needs.

Good thing we have all of your NFL Draft needs covered -- from this year’s No. 8-ranked quarterback (Jamie Newman) to the top-rated defensive tackle (Christian Barmore) -- for when your team is on the clock and you need to know more about the best players available on the board.

Who are the 49ers projected to take in the latest NFL Mock Draft?

There has been much debate about Trey Lance, Mac Jones and Justin Fields at the No. 3 overall pick.

In our final mock draft, NBC Sports Bay Area has the San Francisco 49ers selecting Mac Jones. As Josh Schrock admits, "It might not be the sexy pick, but it'll work," after he bucked the convention and projected Fields in the prior mock draft.

Of course, this is a far cry from where the 49ers were two months ago in the mock draft process -- picking at No. 12 overall and projected to take South Carolina corner Jaycee Horn

But, at least under this scenario -- and barring something completely unforeseen -- the 49ers are walking out of the 2021 NFL Draft with their quarterback of the future.
