This Thanksgiving, 49ers fans might want to eat dinner either early or late. Because at 5:20 p.m. PT, they'll want to be in front of their TVs.
Why? Because even though the 49ers don't play on Thanksgiving, they still have something at stake on Turkey Day.
The third and final game of the NFL's Thanksgiving Day slate between the Saints and Falcons is of particular interest to San Francisco. While the 49ers (10-1) currently are the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC, New Orleans (9-2) is right behind them in the No. 2 spot. Considering San Francisco travels to New Orleans to face the Saints next week, 49ers fans most definitely should be rooting for Atlanta.
