Reports: Kaepernick not throwing at Tuesday's practice

It appears Colin Kaepernick's shoulder still isn't healthy enough.

Kaepernick was on the field at Levi’s Stadium for the start of 49ers practice on Tuesday but he was not throwing any passes, according to multiple reports.

He has not thrown during a practice since Wednesday, when he struggled at the team’s open workout at Kezar Stadium. Kaepernick did not suit up for the team’s exhibition opener Sunday against the Houston Texans. Instead, he arrived early at the stadium to receive treatment on his tight throwing shoulder from the team’s medical staff.

It remains uncertain whether Kaepernick will participate in the 49ers’ practices Wednesday and Thursday against the Denver Broncos.

On Monday, an MRI examination revealed veteran quarterback Thad Lewis had a torn left ACL and is out for the season.

Blaine Gabbert and rookie Jeff Driskel are the team’s only healthy quarterbacks.
