Report: Raiders to host CB Bartell

The Raiders might be addressing their most glaring roster need as former St. Louis cornerback Ronald Bartell is scheduled to visit Oakland today, according to ESPN.Bartell, cut by the Rams on Monday, fractured the C7 bone in his neck in the 2011 season opener and missed the remainder of the season.
A second-round pick of the Rams in 2005 out of Howard, Bartell ran the 40 in 4.37 seconds at the Combine that year. The 6-feet-1, 208-pounder has started 64 of the 89 games in which he's played and has eight interceptions, none sonic 2008.Having already cut Stanford Routt and Chris Johnson, the Raiders only have a pair of second-year cornerbacks on the roster in DeMarcus Van Dyke and Chimdi Chekwa, though there have been rumblings of free safety Michael Huff moving to cornerback. The Raiders are also scheduled to play host to Houston free agent right guard Mike Brisiel today.
