As Derek Carr puts up MVP-caliber numbers and attempts to lead the Raiders to the playoffs for the first time since 2002, he may be cashing in after the season.
The third-year quarterback has an opportunity to sign a contract extension after the season, and according to ESPN, the Raiders are preparing an offer in the range of Andrew Luck's deal.
This past summer, Luck signed a five-year, $123 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts. The deal included a $32 million signing bonus with a total of $87 million in guaranteed money.

SIGN UP HERE Through eight games this season, Carr has thrown 17 touchdowns while being intercepted just three times. He's completed a career-high 66 percent of his passes this season for 2,321 yards.
In his first two seasons, the 2014 second-round pick threw for 7,257 yards, 53 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
Carr is currently in the third year of his four-year, $5.37 million rookie contract. Next season, he has a base salary of $977,519 with a signing bonus of $556,691, a roster bonus of $150,000 and a workout bonus of $25,000.
According to Spotrac.com, the Raiders are expected to have over $34 million in salary cap space in 2017.
