Report: Johnson to visit 49ers?

Free agent quarterback Josh Johnson says he might visit with the 49ers this week.Johnson told Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News over the phone Tuesday that he wants the 49ers quarterback job whether Alex Smith signs a contract or not."Its a great organization and they were a great team last year, so most definitely I would.Furthermore, Johnson said the 49ers have been in contact with his agent, Adam Heller.Johnson backed up Buccaneers starter Josh Freeman last season and played for Jim Harbaugh at the University of San Diego. Johnson is a Bay Area guy who attended high school at Oakland Tech.

While Josh Johnson might be on the 49ers' radar, Denver quarterback Tim Tebow is not. 49ers CEO Jed York made it clear Tuesday that Tebow will not be in the 49ers plans when he said, "Tebows not coming here."
