SANTA CLARA -- The 49ers are apparently in the market to add to their receiving corps.The 49ers were one of three teams that were granted permission to trade for veteran receiver Chad Ochocinco, the Boston Herald reported. The Raiders and New England Patriots were also given permission, according to the report.The Patriots acquired the flamboyant former Cincinnati Bengals receiver in a trade on Thursday.

Michael Crabtree and Josh Morgan are currently viewed as the 49ers' starting receivers, but Morgan is entering the final year of his contract. The 49ers reported to training camp on Thursday, but coach Jim Harbaugh was unavailable for comment.Malcom Floyd (Chargers) and James Jones (Packers) are among the top free-agent receivers on the unrestricted market.
