The state of the Rams quickly has gone from dreams to nightmares. Months after reaching the Super Bowl, Los Angeles has lost three straight games and already are shipping off big-name players.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that the Rams have traded cornerback Marcus Peters to the Ravens in exchange for linebacker Kenny Young. The Ravens confirmed the transaction later Tuesday afternoon.
ESPN's Adam Schefter added some details about the deal.

The news comes just two days after the 49ers beat the Rams 20-7 in Los Angeles. After winning their first three games of the season, currently are 3-3, behind the 49ers and Seahawks for third in the NFC West.
Peters recorded his second interception of the season Sunday when he picked off 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garpoppolo in the end zone. The two-time Pro Bowler finished the game with four tackles, one pass defensed and the one interception.
Trading the Oakland native comes as quite the shock, especially after the Rams recently placed fellow starting cornerback Aqib Talib on injured reserve.
Los Angeles also made another move Tuesday by acquiring center Austin Corbett from the Browns. The 49ers sacked Rams quarterback Jared Goff four times Sunday and had six QB hits.

The 49ers will face Peters on his new team Dec. 1 when they face the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Week 13. Three weeks later, they'll play a Peter-less Rams at Levi's Stadium.
