Lillard done with NFL season as Falcons blow out Raiders

Despite their move out of Oakland after the 2019 season, The Town native Damian Lillard has remained a loyal Raiders fan. But after the team's ghastly 43-6 loss in Atlanta on Sunday, Lillard is calling it quits on watching the Silver and Black in 2020.

The Raiders went down 40-6 in the fourth quarter to the previously 3-7 Atlanta Falcons, so it's hard to blame Lillard for his frustration.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr struggled mightily against the Atlanta defense, including a pick-six early in the third quarter. He eventually was taken from the game and replaced by backup QB Nathan Peterman.

After nearly completing a season sweep of the Kansas City Chiefs last week, many were hyping the Raiders up as an under-the-radar contender down the stretch of the season. But Lillard has seen enough after Sunday's stinker.

Some believed Oakland might have an NFL team playing in the city this season after the 49ers were barred from practicing or hosting games in Santa Clara County over the weekend due to rising COVID-19 numbers, but San Francisco playing at the Coliseum reportedly "isn't an option."

Good thing for Lillard, the 2020-21 NBA season is less than a month away.
