The NFL world was stunned when Henry Ruggs was able to get behind the defense and give the Raiders a stunning 31-28 win over the winless New York Jets.
It turns out that Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams called an unprecedented defensive play, and essentially set the Raiders up perfectly for a Derek Carr deep ball to win the game.

Williams electing to send seven pass-rushers when all the Raiders could do was throw it deep was questionable at best, and had many wondering whether New York was intentionally trying to lose the game, seemingly to maintain the NFL's worst record and the best chance at the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft.

It's hard to fathom a coach like Williams, who we've seen go to great, great lengths to motivate his players in the past, would allow a game-winning touchdown on purpose. But if there is even a single safety back deep on that play, it likely ends up with a different result, and perhaps New York ends up securing its first win of the season.
On a day full of oddities around the league, Ruggs' game-winning catch certainly takes the cake.
